Do what you love!

I’m now in my seventh year of aquaculture (oyster farming) in Carteret County. This past winter seemed longer lasting and overall a bit colder than years past. You will not hear me complaining about the heat at all this year, no matter what. I still love working on the water. Seeing dolphins and the wide variety of birds, fish, crabs and critters that end up in the oyster growout bags never gets old. I’m excited about the upcoming season of the Olde Beaufort Farmers Market. In just less than a month we will be under the Live Oaks in the Beaufort Courthouse square selling our oysters and oyster crafts. Talking with the boaters in town and seeing our local friends every Saturday at the market is quite fun.
