Carolina Oyster House
We are super excited about being able to supply oysters to the new “Carolina Oyster House” located in Greenville, NC.
Growing in 2022
We have just purchased a pontoon boat for our operation, which I am busy customizing to our needs. Hopefully this will help us work more efficiently and produce even more oysters this year.
Growing pains
I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. We have been quite busy around here the last couple months. With Christmas and New Years coming up we are only going to get busier from here on out.
One year later
On October 20th of 2020 I decided to leave my very challenging, yet rewarding job with a big Pharma company in Greenville. The long twelve hour shifts along with the oyster farming were starting to wear me down. Being able to put all my efforts into raising North Carolina Oysters this past year has paid off.
NC Seafood Festival
The seasons are starting to change and its time for the NC Seafood Festival in Morehead City once again. We will be shucking our oysters alongside several other NC Oyster Farmers on Friday October 1st. We will be at the NC Coastal Federation’s Inaugural “Wine and Brine” Event from 6:00 - 8:00pm.
Live Oak Street
We are starting to settle in to our new location on Live Oak Street in Beaufort. Its not as busy/crowded as the Greenville area has become in the last few years. I love being just across the river from my farm.
2021 Pelican Awards
We are excited to be a part of the North Carolina Coastal Federation’s 2021 Pelican Awards this coming Saturday night in Morehead City. We will be shucking our oysters along with several other oyster farmers all from North Carolina.
Oyster trail designed to protect threatened industry
Most of the restaurants on the N.C. Oyster Trail, which spans from Nags Head to Bald Head Island along the coast, closed or pivoted to takeout with limited menus. State mandates prevented farmers from offering tours. With restaurants reopening and restrictions easing, oyster farmers are eager to share their harvests again.
Oyster Farm Tour Information
The farm tours will be approximately one hour long. We will depart from the Coastal Carolina Campground and depending on the tide see several wild oyster reefs. We will visit a few oyster farms on the way to Roysters NC.
RoystersNC joins NC Oyster Trail
RoystersNC is now a part of the NC Oyster Trail. We are so excited to offer tours of our farm in 2021.
