Storms and baby oysters

Its been quite a while since my last entry and I apologize. Time sure does go by faster the older you age. We have been having rain the last two days from Tropical Storm Debby. The forecast calls for heavier rains tomorrow and Friday. I’ve been quite busy since about the first of May. I put out my first batch of oyster seed on May 3rd and a second batch in July. The picture with this is of some of the May batch oysters this past week. This growing season has been great so far with just enough rain to keep salinity from spiking and not too much to close harvesting down. Both batches of seed are really growing well. Hopefully by late this fall our operation will be back at full production with market sized oysters. I plan on planting seed one more time this fall.
